Sealers for the Coffee Industry

Most coffee bags are side gusseted bags.  For your coffee bags, a single element sealer such as your typical hand impulse sealer cannot properly seal through all four layers of the gusseted bag.  Do not use a hand or foot or automatic sealer, not even a 5mm sealer. We recommend using a direct heat (constant heat) type of sealer and we offer a variety of equipment at various price points.

Direct Heat Sealers

Direct heat sealers will maintain constant heat in both jaws.  Sealer widths tend to be wider than impulse sealers.  We have listed the below options in order of production speed.    We recommend the KF-150CST if you are just starting out your production and looking to seal sample sizes.  The sealer is affordable and easy to use with very few moving parts.  The CBS-880II is our fastest option yet!  Simply place your bag on the conveyor. 

Impulse Sealers

Only double impulse sealers will work for side gusseted bags. Impulse sealers are easy to use.  Impulse sealers require no warm up time and seal by applying a pulse of energy to the sealing area, followed immediately by cooling.

Vacuum Sealers

Vacuum sealers will first pull the air out of your coffee bag and then seal the bag closed. We offer a variety of equipment if your are looking to vacuum seal your coffee bags.

  • Our WVT-455T is ideal plug and go for foil gusseted bags. No external compressor is required.

  • Our AVS-20 is a 20” nozzle vacuum sealer that is one of the fastest on the market. You can add the option of gas flush as well. For sealing coffee bags, you must add the option of dual heat and filter. Please contact us if you have questions.
