Microswitch

Microswitch

The microswitch also known as the trigger switch allows the electric circuit to complete when activated.   You should be able to hear a "click" when the switch is activated (when the arm or jaw of the sealer is brought down)
The heating wire (element) is mounted via an element holder (also known as the mounting spring or bow spring).  The complete mounting spring would be the Heater Terminal Assembly or Spring Hook Assembly.
